News from Delhi Math October 24th

Please excuse me for sending this report out late, partly due to the process of getting a SIM card here. I have heard that the reports are being translated into Russian, Spanish and Lithuanian.
I spoke to Bhudhara Prabhu, who explained that there is actually very little “news”. Srila Gurudeva’s condition is still stable. There appears to have been some slight improvement. For example, he has walked a little, and asked for some kitcheri, which he ate with a spoon. However, it is difficult to say how significant this is, because there are always fluctuations from day to day. The care and treatment continues in an exemplary way, as Brajesh Prabhu has pointed out. Bhudhara Prabhu said that the physical and emotional strength required are practically superhuman. The emphasis is still on nutrition and hydration, and treatment is also going on. The team is strictly following the protocols that Doctor Ray prescribed.
There has been some discussion regarding moving Srila Gurudeva to Govardhan. It does not seem so practical at present, simply from a medical point of view. For example, there are sometimes as many as five different doctors coming to see Srila Gurudeva in a single day. This would not be practical if he were in Govardhan. Apart from that, there is the practical issue of moving Srila Gurudeva in his present condition. This is, of course, seeing the pure devotee from the physical and medical point of view, and there are ongoing discussions about that as well.
