Moscow Festival Info

Hare Krishna! All glories to Sri Sri Guru and Gauranga!

Dear devotees, please accept my dandavat pranamas.

This letter is for all devotees who want to visit Moscow Festival and who are concerned how to get there from the Airport. Following is the complete information about all ways of transportation from Moscow Airports to the festival site. Please kindly look through this letter and choose your plan of journey.

 Bon voyage!

1)      Transfer by taxi.

·         This is the easiest, the safest and the most convenient way. Taxi driver with the special sign – with Gurudev’s name on it – will wait for you in the concourse (where you will proceed after receiving your luggage and passing customs control. Taxi will get you directly to the festival site. The cost of taxi is 2200 rub = $73 = €56. Time of journey – around 2 hours (without traffic jams).

·         To order taxi please send me your name, flight num., Airlines, arrival time and date, Airport, number of people, any contact num. if you have. Please, do it ASAP – only few days remain before festival.

2)      Going by public transport

If you are lady, if you are alone and if you don’t know Russian – I would not suggest you to choose this option. Especially if your flight arrives after 4.00 PM. That mean you will find yourself on the road among forests and fields in the darkness.

For those who still want to try here are all the details:

STEP 1. “Airport – Metro”.

There are 3 main Airports in Moscow: Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo and Vnukovo. Very fast and comfortable AEROEXPRESS trains are running from each Airport to Moscow Metro. The cost is 300 rub = $10 = €7,6 per person. By bus is cheaper (up to 100 rub = $3 = €2.5) but you’ll have to face Moscow traffic jams.

In the attached files you will find the details about transport to and out of the Airports. Detailed information on-line:

SHEREMETYEVO – http://www.svo.aero/en/shuttle/ and http://www.svo.aero/en/aeroexpress/

DOMODEDOVO – http://www.domodedovo.ru/en/main/getting/1/

VNUKOVO – http://www.vnukovo.ru/eng/for-passengers/schem/arrive/

STEP 2. Moscow Metro.

OK, perhaps now you are in metro. Please print and take Moscow metro map with you.

English versions of Moscow metro map are here:

Your task now is to get to TUSHINSKAYA metro station (on the North, purple line). You can account number of stations between your departure and destination points, multiply by 3 (min) and then add 5 minutes on each time you will have to change the train. That will be exact time of your underground journey.

STEP 3. TUSHINSKAYA METRO STATION – KOLUBAKINO VILLAGE

There will be 2 exits from Tushinskaya metro station. you have to choose the one in the direction of the first coach of your train. Then you should turn left on the street – you will see bus terminal – vast area with many buses. Go straight to the ticket office window in the end of the terminal. You need to buy ticket on the bus № 455 (in Russian: “avtobus chetyresta pyat’desyat pyat’”), the cost is 100 rub = $3 = €2.5. Your bus № 455 will be situated just near the window.

Here is the timetable of 455 bus:

Somehow you have to explain to the bus driver that you have to go off at “Shkola” bus stop. (In Russian: Mne nuzhna ostanovka “SHKOLA”). He will stop there for you. The time of journey is around 1,5 hours without traffic jams.

STEP 4. FROM “SHKOLA” BUS STOP to SOSNOVAYA ROSCHA sanatorium.

OK, You successfully got off at the bus stop. Administration of the festival promises that they will place the festival sign by the road. But in case it will not happen. There will be T-formed crossroad near the bus stop. Vertical  “|” of the “T” is Popova street, which goes down the hill. You have to turn there. Go straight by Popova street for 15 min up to the sign “SOSNOVAYA ROSCHA sanatorium”. Then turn according to the sign instruction. 5 more minutes walk and you will see sanatorium buildings. You will not miss big sculptural monument at the entrance – 3 boys from the Soviets playing musical instruments and carrying japa-bags on their necks.

Wellcome to the International bhakti-yoga festival in Moscow!!!!

Jay Srila Gurudeva! Jay Sri Sri Radha-Vinoda-Bihariju! Jay Sri Sacinandana Gaurahari!
